Remember
Do you remember?
All the blood that was shed;
All the tears, which were wept;
All the soldiers who sacrificed all they had left.
Do you remember?
All the families who never,
Saw their loved ones again,
All the children who had to grow up,
Missing the love of mom or dad;
And all the people who had,
No hope left in them.
Do you remember?
All the soldiers,
Who never gave up;
Who took everything one at a time;
Who waited and waited months on end,
For that moment of peace,
They believed would come to them.
They fought for our pride;

But mostly they fought,
Because they believed
In love and peace,
